Metal Composite Panel

The metal composite system is comprised of interlocking, foam-filled structural metal panels for use in residential, commercial, and industrial applications.

Daedalus' metal composite panels can be assembled into a sturdy and attractive structure. Intended for houses, schools, multi-story apartments and clinics, the materials can also be used for low-cost shelter, disaster relief and commercial applications.

Each panel is manufactured using an innovative, continuous process, which combines a steel skin, foam core and unique steel stiffener to produce a cost effective, lightweight, energy efficient, and durable construction material.

The metal composite panels are formed in a standard width of 61cm (2 feet) by 7.6 cm (3 1/8 inches) and may be produced to any length up to 15m (50 feet)

Each panel is constructed of a primed, galvanized steel outer layer bonded to an insulation layer of fire-retardant polyurethane foam.

The metal composite panels are locked together with a tongue and groove, reinforced joint that is joined with a self-drilling screw, that securely locks the panels together, providing an extremely strong structural unit resistant to high wind and seismic loads.
Structure assembly is quick and secure.  The integral tongue-in-groove joint mates with adjacent panels and is secured using self-tapping metal screws.  The integral structural stiffeners in each panel provide the strength necessary to carry structural loads without the use of an external frame or skeleton.
